ABOUT JON WOOD WORKSHOPS

When Scientists Go Bad
Scientific research is like a bun fight, with everyone loving their own theory. What happens when these egos clash? Who wins and who loses? Stories from history of fame and fortune, tears and blame.
Contesting Flight
Roll up and compete in the paper airplane contest. We’ll look at the physics of flight that not only goes the distance, but can carry the most weight

ABOUT MATT PRITCHARDWORKSHOP

Surprising Science
Matt presents a show packed with science tricks, stunts and puzzles. Matt challenges the audience to discover the sneaky scientific secrets behind the surprising illusions. A show that is not just awe and wonder, but one that encourages scientific enquiry and critical thinking skills. Aimed at 5-11 years.

ABOUT VIKING LONGSHIP WORKSHOP

Children will have the hands-on experience of building a piece of ‘living history’. They will use all the learning styles to solve problems as they work in teams, enjoy themselves AND learn history. They will steep themselves in history
During the afternoon, children will:
Build the Viking Longship
Weave “sails” on a Viking “warp-weighted loom”
Sew sails for the ship
Make “authentic” Viking shields
Design oar blades and dragon heads
Session for 7-11 year-olds
